Queen of Niendorf

Queen of Niendorf, "Königin von Niendorf"

Synopsis

All her class mates have become strange this year, it seems to ten-year-old Lea. Her friends are now only interested in boys and their own looks. When they all go to summer camp and Lea stays at home, she joins a gang of boys led by Nico. Naturally, she has to pass various tests of courage. Before long, Lea and the boys try to solve mysterious secrets in their town: What is Tim and Tom’s dad, a firefighter, doing in his cellar every evening at precisely eight o’clock? And why does nonconformist and musician Mark Wagenburg have to leave his farm? A children’s movie without frills, in the best sense of the term; affectionate, cautious and authentically told.
